StrataFrame Version 1.7.3 Now Available

StrataFrame Version 1.7.3 is now available! This build encompasses the beta releases 1.7.0.7 - 1.7.2 and, as such, includes quite a few new features and enhancements. Below are a few changes that exist in this build.  Be sure to read the What's New article in the help once loaded to see the full list of changes and fixes:

• Visual Studio 2010 Support Visual Studio 2010 support was added in version 1.7.0.7.
• SQL 2008 Data Type Support - The DDT and BO Mapper have been enhanced to support the new date and time data types and to better support the Variant data type.
• DDT Filestream Support - The DDT has been enhanced to support filestream columns and filegroups. This is a new feature of SQL Server 2008 which allows VarBinary(MAX) columns to be stored as files while still being queriable within SQL Server.
• DDT Script Handling Enhanced - New events and properties have been added to allow finer control over when and where to use the Pre and Post deployment scripts in the DDT.
• DDT Syntax Editor Improved - The syntax editor found within the DDT has been vastly improved.
• HttpBasics Tool Class Added - The HttpBasics tool class has been added and will grow through time to encompass a web-related toolset. The two items already available allow a quick detection of internet connectivity on the client machine, and allow a DataTable to be converted to and from a Base64 string (useful when communicating with web services.)
• StrataListView Enhancements - Several enhancements have been added to the StrataListView to allow control over selection opacity, inclusion of radio buttons in a column, control over a specific row's height, and more.
• BrowseDialog BeforeSearchExecuted Event - The BeforeSearchExecuted event has been added to the BrowseDialog to allow direct control over they QueryInfo directly before it gets passed to the data access layer.
• StrataRenderingBasics Enhancements - New rendering methods have been added to StrataRenderingBasics to easily create glass effects and to invert or grayscale the colors of a rendered image.

Once you install be sure to open the help and read the topic "What's new in Version 1.7.3" to learn about some of the enhancements, bug fixes, and new features. 

Also of note: All packaged source code will now be in Visual Studio 2010 format. The solutions may be manually set to use VS 2008 by editing the solution file in notepad and changing the "Format Version 11.00" on the first line to be "Format Version 10.00" instead.
